Restart for performance reasons.

What other reason do you reboot your modem for?

Have them. Generally they are as reliable as Time Warner was before it was purchased by Spectrum. Occasional minor outages, and my wife and I both work from home when not traveling for clients, so we would know of outages more often than most.
Since I got rid of FiOS almost 2.5 years ago, I've experienced one major outage of half a day and only a couple of minor outages of <30 minutes.
I'm paying for 200/20. Just performed a "wireless" speed test:
234 Mbps down
23.8 Mbps up
Ping - 8 milliseconds
Latency - 2 milliseconds
Loss - 0%

It's all about perspective. Coming from AT&T the service and product is AMAZING! Now, it may be crap compared to other ISP's.

Spectrum as an ISP provider?
I have had them in St Louis for 3.5 years. Never had an outing. Two speed options - 200 or 300 Mbps. Consistently get what I pay for.
Even with the same ISP, I am sure this varies a decent amount from city to city.

I have them as well and overall no issues and good speed for about 5 years now.
