I only see people talking about psvue and dtvnow but never really any mention of sling...just curious because I like the channel line up with the $20 package with the $5 kids and $5 sports add ons..
How is it with the firestick and mobile devices?

You can sign up for a free trial with each and see for yourself.

Alright thanks..was looking for others opinions first but I guess that'll work.

I signed up when it first came out. Really what motivated me to try and cut the cord for the first time. At launch it was bad, especially on densely watched programs like TWD. The interface was also terrible. Around the time I stop using Sling the stream had gotten much better but the interface was unchanged. I think since then they have added some kind of DVR which is a very nice feature not found in DIRECTV Now.
I think if you can deal with the interface its the best bang for the buck minus those, like me, who got the DIRECTV now deal, which I also dropped.

Factoring in channel options and device availability, I chose sling. I love it, the interface, is good once you get used to it. I use it on ROKU. PS Vue's lack of certain channels was a deal breaker, directvnow's lack of multiple streams and device support was a deal breaker. Sling is adding DVR now, so it honestly has everything i need.

I signed up for the free trial for both about 2 months when I wanted to ditch cable. Day 1 sling tv wasn't working at all. So I jumped over to psvue and have been using it ever since. I've got the $35 level and an HD antenna. I get every single channel that I was actually watching before when I was paying $90. Couldn't be happier!

I use Sling during football season and it works good. Occasionally there would be some buffering but it wasnt bad. I've tried PSvue and had issues with it but I don't use it because it costs so much in Dallas.....$45 vs $25 for Sling.

Had Sling for a year and a half, with the $5 sports addon.
I recently canceled for DirectTV-Now, when they added the free year of HBO.
No problems really. Main complaint is the ability to only watch 1 stream at a time from 1 PC/device.

Yeah, that's sounds crappy...but if that's the only thing I guess you can get over it with the price..

Sling is absolute garbage. Buffering issues, interface is terrible, and it will randomly shutdown sometimes. Don't bother. If you have the ability to get PSVue, do it.

When I cut off the satellite and cable about a month ago, I did the trial for SlingTV, and it performed a lot better than it did back in mid-2015. I didn't experience any buffering, but I have 1 Gbps fiber internet with my Rokus hardwired. It buffered some when I tested it over WiFi.
When the trial ran out, I dropped it, as I don't watch much TV. I will either get it or PS Vue during football season. The only things I have right now are Netflix, One America News, my antenna, XTV, Channel Pear and Pluto TV.
Sling has all of the channels we used to watch on Comcast and Dish. At the end of the day, look at what you want/need that will cost you the least bit of money.

Not sure if it was improved it on Roku, but when Vue launched on Roku, the interface made it very difficult to use.

I have been on slingtv since day 1. Started with an Xbox one and it was cheap like you stated.
Switched to a fire tv and it has been great. Only issues I have are when the internet messes up which isn't their fault.
They do have a package that allows multiple streams. We only use the one and for $25 I can't really complain.

Ok I looked at the different packages..I noticed the sports add-on package contains different channels depending on if you order the orange package or the blue package. I would prefer the sports package that comes with the orange plan but the orange plan is the one that you can only watch one stream at a time..that's messed up..
Edited to say it would go from $25 with the orange plan and sports package to $50 for the orange& blue together plus sports package..also the sports package with the orange olds is only $5 but with the other two plans it's $10...I'd rather the SEC network and SEC+ network ..

That's how they still leave the door open for Dish.

One big thing to consider is devices. SlingTV is by far and away on the most devices and might be a reason I go back to them.
I have an Xbox One S that I use as my main hub for content and PSVue will never be available on Xbox One S (competing device). DirecTV Now is supposed to come out on Xbox One/S but I'm not holding my breath.
So keep in mind your device too. Amazon Fire TV seems to be able to run all 3 major cord cutting streams.

How does it do on the firestick? I haven't gotten a fire tv yet..

Vue works all the time for me. Sling would buffer all the time, this was half a year ago. Vue never buffers. I think Vue is easily the winner
