How bad is Cox

Sadly they are my only option where I live as AT&T and other services are not here. I bought my own router and modem recently that was better than the ones Cox wanted to give. However, the signal to my outdoor patio is iffy at best, some days it works fine others it doesn't. This is with a new Firestick and a WiFi extender that I bought but apparently the 10-20 yards away it is, is too much for Cox to pick up a signal and I can not watch TV outside unless certain days.

Your wifi signal and range has nothing to do with Cox.
I haven't found a wifi extender that was worth a damn. You'd be better off getting one of the mesh systems.

I have cox and it’s fine. I use Ubiquiti access points and have great WiFi throughout the house.

I've never had a problem until that last month

Install Wi-Fi SweetSpots app on your phone and use it while connected to Wi-Fi . Then walk around and you will see the dead spots are in the house.
An Access Point or Extended will help quite a bit too.

This is accurate. Get something like Google wifi and put one in a place near your outdoor patio and another near the center of your house. It'll take a little trial and error to find the ideal location.

There are solutions, you just have to be willing to spend the money.
Wireless can go for miles.
