I am moving to home that has Vivint and it is negotiable. Is it worth it? What are other options for a good home security system? Central part of the state. Looking to pay about $40-$50 on monthly monitoring. Need opinions.

I wouldn't go with Vivint. Call a local company and keep your money in your community instead of sending it to Utah.

Home I moved into had Vivint.
I didn’t want anything to do with them, so the homeowner had them take their equipment.
They took the keypads and left all the sensors.
I bought a new keypads from a local provider and now have it monitored by them.
Went with the 2Gig GC3 system. It’s a great unit and can be tied into home automation.
Although it is a little overkill for my current needs, I can grow into it.
