Help needed for my 80 year old mother who needs a new computer (or tablet?)

She hardly uses her desktop currently. Only thing she uses it for is to look up her bank account. And Nextdoor 
. She uses her iphone for everything else. .
I’m considering getting her a tablet with a keyboard/mouse. Does this sound like a good idea, and if so what kind of tablet would be best?

Does she have an Android or iPhone?
Get her a tablet with the same OS.
My mom is in her 70s and never puts her iPad down.
She doesn't need a keyboard and mouse.

She’s got an iPhone. I guess you’re suggesting that so she’s already used to the icons and navigation?

Yep, no need at all. Just get her a cheap iPad. She'll be able to see it much better and already knows how to use it.

If you want her to be able to use it outside, you might want to consider an iPad that is provided by the cell provider; otherwise, a cheap Wi-Fi model will work just fine.
