Here's the challenge, she enjoys listening to music (with headphones on), but unfortunately gets frustrated when things don't go her way, and can get. physical very fast. (Picture a tablet being zoomed across the room hitting one of her 3 siblings.)

Therefore, trying to select a device that pretty much does ONLY music so that she's not tempted to try to execute other functions that will frustrate her.

I know it sounds simplistic, and maybe even cruel, but we're just trying to help a family in need, and this is what they're asking for.

An old iPod-like device would be perfect, but obviously need it to work with today's technology to get music on it.

Thanks!

See if you can find a gen7 iPod Nano.

Works with iTunes, holds 16 gigs of music, data/charging cable is a lightning cable.

Thanks for the suggestion. Trying to keep the budget as low as possible, as it's a true shot in the dark if it will be a workable situation.

I found this SanDisk Clip Sport Player that looks like it will work. I need to get some little headphones to go with it. (She had ear surgery, and won't be able to use earbuds.)

Wondering what the typical jack size is... guessing its whatever size most little headphones are?
