Since it’s above the fireplace

Ohhhh. My consoles are just sitting in a closet on the other side of the room, so the connection is just going through regular drywall without issue. If your consoles are sitting in another room behind a fireplace, I can definitely understand why you might have additional interference. I'll check out my PS4 from the closet tonight. While I was home for lunch, I put my ps4 controller on a charger in a very obvious place as a reminder so that I dont forget

No lag whatsoever playing my ps4 through the wall. Played some Mlb the show and until dawn - two games that you need quick response time on and didn't have any issues.

Strange thanks for the update. Must be the fireplace but I’m going to try a different controller to check if that’s the issue

The main controller or guts of the tv is in a seperate box that connects via the one thin wire to the main frame part. all connections are on the secondary box

Well that just sounds convenient as frick. All TVs should be like that, I hate having to plug anything into mine.

I’ve had issues with this by crossing my leg having the controller in my lap and it completely losing connection with the ps4 in front of me.

I don’t know if it’s just the controllers because I can walk into the kitchen and my headphones still work.

Firebox will definitely mess up the signal. Can you place it in the back room so that it's away from the fireplace?

Only other thing I can think of is upgrading the antenna but you have to open up the PS4 and route the cabling out.
