Google Project Fi coverage in South La?
I'm getting anxious for the new Nexus phones to come out this fall. Considering switch from AT&T to Project Fi. Can someone give a review of network coverage in the river parishes? Any show stoppers to be aware of before making the switch?

St. Landry Parish here. Service is absolutely atrocious.

EBR. Service is good, not great. if your outside its gravy. inside a building is a toss up. That being said, my bill is only $30 so i don't mind it.

I haven't done much research but would it be worth upgrading from a 6p to the new big nexus coming out?

Fine by me, the vast majority of the time I'm inside of a building I'm on wifi, and their phones automatically use wifi calling when connected to that.

Ready for the new Nexus phones to come out so I can switch to Fi.

Project Fi has partnered with Sprint, T-Mobile, and U.S. Cellular, three of the leading carriers in the US, to provide our service. You can view our US coverage at fi.google.com/coverage.

Yeah the coverage is going to be good wherever Sprint, T-Mobile, or US Cellular has service.

Use Sensory to view T-Mobile and Sprint coverage. Project Fi uses both of them, so if you're in any one of their coverage areas you should have service (US cellular isn't in LA)

In addition, the phone also uses Wi-fi to make calls.

Was Houston and now New Orleans. I have never had any type of service issue ever

Im waiting this time. Seeing the price of the phones cut to half price within the first couple of months really hurts when you just paid full price.

yeah, got the 6P when it came out and was annoyed to see the price cuts come through quick.

either way, I'm very, very happy with the phone and service. I'm in Houston, so not much problem with connectivity here.

Using Sensorly is a good idea. I have problems with AT&T in my work building. I might expect the same from other services. Most of my family and neighbors are on AT&T so don't have a good view of coverage besides AT&T where we live.

I swapped from AT&T and have found very little difference in coverage. A few rural areas are different but it is about even as some areas have better service.

I travel the state and had to switch back to Verizon. Too many times throughout the week I would have no service.
