no idea. hadnt done any research at all. i was just making more of a general assumption that the price would go down.

i have a 5x and it's definitely too old now to suggest anyone purchase it. It was a budget phone from the start and while i've had my issues with it I think i about got out of it what i paid for. Luckily i never encountered the bootloop but my wife did.

i'm sure. i wouldn't jump on those at the moment either because more than likely once P2s start flooding the market these prices will drop even more

you should dump that while there's still some value left on swappa. its starting to drop lower than the nexus 6 prices.

i wasnt really planning on selling it. We currently dont have a backup phone for "in case of shattering my phone" instances. I was just gonna put it in a drawer.

i dont think an att pixel will work on verizon though
I meant that as I just preordered the Pixel 2 through Verizon, and plan on switching to Verizon from ATT once the phone comes in. You can't order a Pixel through ATT as far a I know.

ah, gotcha.

also, if you don't already know, tmobile customers get $365/off a pixel 2 or 2XL if you order one and add a new line (or new customer)

Verizon is giving me a $378 trade in value for my Galaxy S7. They said the phone "value" is $144, but with "promotional value", it is $378. I'll take it.

i got the Pixel right when it came out and did the 0% financng for 24 months. well there is 350 dollar buy back offer and guess how much i owe on it, 350 bucks. Coincidence? i dont think so. so i ordered the new Pixel 2 XL with 0% financing. so i basically swapped out my Pixel for a Pixel 2 XL for free.

That port is decades old, it takes up too much space in today's phones for the amount of functionality it provides, and it's hard to make dust- and waterproof. It's time to retire it.

I've tried multiple bluetooth headphones with the pixel.

I always get some kind of distortion if my phone is in my pocket in NY, especially on the subway. I wonder if it has to do with the amount of people on bluetooth in the area

i think the pixel bluetooth is weak. i dont get the distortion as close as in my pocket but if im 10ft away and i get in the path between the phone and the bluetooth is does cut out.

Pixel 2 upgraded to bluetooth 5.0 i believe. So that's another thing they fixed/upgraded.

I think most of the flagship phones have bluetooth 5.0 this year.

Yeah. I have no personal experience with 5.0. I've just seen MKBHD's youtube video on it showing it's supposed to be exponentially more stable, faster, and have a wider range.

My Nexus 6P is one of my all-time favorite phones with the original 5. If Google/Huawei wouldn't have fricked up the battery situation so bad, which they rightfully fixed for me by giving me an XL, it would be my all-time favorite phone

I think im a fan of how pixel xl did the bezels. Sure the iphone X has zero chin and only a notch for a forehead. But the pixel xl still has very minimal forehead and chin but they have forward facing speakers! I think the tradeoff is worth it.

Now why the pixel xl still has those small side bezels i dont know.
