Gmail no longer working on iPhone?

Started last night - gmail account works to my Mac as usual but won’t work on my iphone 7 anymore? I have deleted the account and re added but no dice. I even tried to add the account to my iPad and it still didn’t work, which makes me think it’s a gmail / google issue and not iPhone issue?

None of my personal accounts work on my iPhone while on WiFi at work. It’s just me. Started after i did the last update. Tried resetting carrier settings, network settings, etc. no dice.

Delete the app, sign in/out, restart the phone in no particular order.

When you say it works on your Mac, do you mean in the browser? Because that's comparing apples to oranges.

Update - I was having issues getting gmail added to my imail client (not a browser issue). It was always working under the imail client until yesterday.
I had deleted and re-added several times to no avail. This morn I backed up my iphone to mac and then I called google (no help - they said if I could reach the mail thru a browser then it wasn't google issue).
So I called Apple and had her walk me through the Add Account again (even though I had done it the exact same way several times yesterday). When we added it, the gmail magically started working again under imail client on my phone.
So, I don't know if backing the phone up made a difference or not but that's the only thing different that occurred since I tried to re-add the gmail account yesterday. Go figure.
TL;DR - it just works

Hasn't Apple released three or four updates in the last 60 days? That tells you all you need to know about any problems you may be having
