Just replaced my old Sony DLP with an LED. Any suggestions on getting rid of old TV?

Look for electronics recycling facilities near you. You can't throw TVs away and I doubt any charities will take non flat panel TVs. At least that's how it is where I live (Tennessee). Our city has an electronics drop off. Back when I lived in Louisiana, there were like 2 days a year when you could drop off electronics and other household hazardous waste.

Best Buy takes electronics for recycling, I took in an old printer that was pretty big. Handed it over at the customer service counter, and that was it.

+1 on Best Buy. I had a 65" DLP sitting in the basement, an old 36" tube tv and monitor. I bought a KS800 last December from Best Buy. When they delivered the new tv; they took the DLP, the other tv and monitor for $50.

Put it out on the street. Some Mexican will come along in a couple of hours and haul it off on his back.
