Supposedly. The author posts this, never verifies it and doesn't provide a link to let you know where he "scored" this deal. Anyone that figures it, post the link.

We've found a big deal on Disney Plus that knocks it down to less than $4 per month, but there's also a catch. The sale, which takes 33% off of Disney+'s 3-year plan (which gives you 1-year off), requires that you're a member of one of Disney's biggest fan clubs.

In order to get this deal, you need to be a D23 member (you can sign up here), but it's unclear if you need a Gold-tier membership or the free general membership. This deal ends on Sept. 2.

I wonder how this deal will affect the anticipated $12.99 bundle later, when they reale it in Nov. with Hulu and ESPN+ to the market?

So it looks like you pay up front for 3 yrs of service. At first that’ll turn people off since it’s a decent chunk of change, but if you think about it, it protects you from any price raises for the 3yrs (assuming you plan to keep the service for that long).

Interesting.

So it’s $99 annually + $3.89 year. $99 annually is for D23 membership. So about $8/month plus $3.89 = $11.89/month. Not much of a deal I’d you’re just signing up for the streaming.

nah there's a "standard membership." they make sure you can't see it . It's at the bottom of the page and not highlighted

I just can’t make a 3 year commitment to the Disney service sight unseen.

I did. Ever been on a Disney cruise? It's awesome. I expect for $140 for three years this streaming service will be worth every penny.

The idea that a Disney cruise is only for families and kids is a misconception. What they offer for adults is top notch.

I meant getting Disney streaming for the kiddo. That would be a big nope. Would not use it.

He's 16.

He's not a fan of Star Wars or Marvel?
