I’m cutting cord via my receiver. Is there a remote that will control my Firestick and volume on receiver?

Logitech harmony should be able to do that. I use one for my Marantz receiver and Apple TV.

I’m sure there are cheaper options. Search on Amazon for universal remotes and search the reviews an/or questions for the product. I’m sure there will be more specific answers on here too later.

I had an RCA soundbar that a dog at the remote to. Went almost 2yrs without a way to adjust the volume without getting up to do it. Firestick TV easily paired with it and now have ability to change volume with remote.

if you have an older firestick, you can get a new remote to pair with the fire stick you have now from amazon with sound and power option for TV. Or better, for a little more, just get a new fire tv 4k stick with the new version of remote that will control your TV power and sound. Just make sure your TV supports CEC

Some TV remotes will control the firestick as well. Our old Samsung we just replaced would do that. Once you got to the HDMI port the stick was in on the source, you could use the arrows on the TV remote to control it all. Kids figured that one out.

no. Do not do this. Most older fire TV devices won't work with the new remote.

In other news I have an extra firetv remote with volume control I'll sell cheap.

My Fire Stick plugged directly into a Visio controls TV power and volume. Works great.

The one plugged into my Onkyo might. I can’t remember.
