How come I can see some people’s status is active on messenger and some show no activity. They have not changed anything to show they are or aren’t active.

This is the son and daughter that say they can’t see if I’m active either. None of us have changed anything to make it where you can’t see activity. Even held the phones together and looked at all the settings.
