I got pissed at the constant rising subscription from Arlo and felt like I needed to make a move.

As I started doing some research, the Eufy with solar panels kept coming up.

Bought 4 cameras, they keep charge via solar, the video is excellent and no subscriptions and no battery swap.

I decided to buy the home base for central storage, which is coming in on Sunday.

very pleased. The batteries stay at 90% or above on most days.

I am also eyeballing Eufy. I have 4 arlo cameras now and they are going on 10 years. They work fine however I think I’d like the Eufy and the local storage as well.

I have some wired eufy cameras and really like them.

I've never had good experiences with anything solar. I'd be curious to know how they're faring a year from now

I have these at my house and airbnb's and they're awesome. Never buying anything else.

I assume there is a lithium battery on the inside. How much to replace it? I have tplink Kasa at my Airbnb and they have been good but need to be plugged in. Also they are underneath the raised house. Would the solar ones still charge with no direct sun?

Probably, but I have only had these for a couple months so not really thinking about battery replacement.

I had the camera above the garage in a place that did not always get sun and I had to move it up so there was full visibility. The app shows daily solar intake.

Some of the cameras have a separate panel so you can place it better in direct sunlight.

Thank and perfect timing! Just purchased one last week S340 after reading several reviews and have had wyze cameras version 1's and are getting a little old but have the free service and work as needed. I had planned on putting it up tomorrow and will post results!

Have the s340 and s220 cameras with home base. Have one of the 220’s hitting my far mesh satellite as it wouldn’t hit the home base from that far. Had them over a year and the battery does degrade and the app shows you how much capacity has dropped off over time. Not much so far still over 90%. For the camera prices and install simplicity I consider them disposable.

Been running the wired version for years, love them. Recently installed a solar one and have another to install and thus far it’s great. Can’t speak on longevity yet, though.

After a few hours of trying different routers both with and without passwords. I charging it for several hours could never get it to sync or "beep". The tried to reset it but no luck after holding the sync button for 30 seconds. Call support a few times to see if there is something I am missing and they were too busy "call back later"

Needless to say its going back to amazon.

I tried that as well and couldn't connect it. This camera is definitely bad. In addition to that after doing some additional research based on my current setup that specific camera is only 2.4ghz and will not work for me. I have a cpe710 which broadcast 5ghz which I was TRYING to snyc it to ~900 ft directly to a specific camera. They do have a few cameras that snyc through 5ghz like the reolink. So my new plan will be to bridge that area for controlling several devices there.
