Does anyone know if the eSIM is uninstalled in an iPHONE SE, would that cause the phone to shut down completely and not work?
Thank you for any help.

GEN 3. I saw an alert on my cell phone bill that said my eSIM was unstalled. Call the # to reinstall it. I called. She says, "No, you're fine. it's installed or it wouldn't work. I'll put in an order to delete the alert." That was yesterday. Now just an hour ago, phone is DEAD. Nothing. It's brand new, 10 weeks old. Thanks for your help.

Are you sure, or was there maybe a mid gen shift? I'm almost positive my old 2020 Gen 2 SE had a traditional SIM and that my current 14 Pro is my first phone with an eSIM. I bought the SE at the beginning of COVID, when ATT was still doing literal drive through service, and I remember being annoyed after fighting with the phone for a few minutes that "switch your old SIM, dumbass" wasn't included in the instructions

Dead as in won't turn on? That's not normal. A phone with no SIM card whatsoever, eSIM or hard SIM, should still boot up fine and be able to access pretty much anything as normal over wifi. The limitation is no access to the cell network, but even then, you should be able to call 911.
If it's dead dead, your problem shouldn't be your SIM.

Thank you, Josh. I'm going to the Apple store.

The second gen Iphone SE (2020) has both physical and esim. I just activated one for a family member on att via esim.

Ok, that makes sense. I felt like I was taking crazy pills for a second
