Does anybody have any recommendations for a drone, that would primarily be used to take real estate photos? I don't have any experience with drones, so something without a big learning curve would be preferred.

That's what I've found so far, in my limited research. It would be nice if the photos could be integrated into ArcMap.

Off-topic sort of but I was looking up video from the DJ Phantom and found this video: LINK

Keep an eye on the guy on the left

That look on the other guy's faces when he takes a swipe at the drone...

It's illegal to make money off of photos, but here you go.

I've read that, but my main focus is to use it to manage timberland (Checking survival, verifying stand types, encroachment, etc...). This would be on my personal land and properties owned and managed by my company. As long as I'm not using these photos in real estate listings, I'm hoping I'll be OK. I don't understand why the FAA took the stance that it did, but that's neither here nor there.

I believe it's one of those things where it's illegal but I don't think anyone really taking action on using drones for profit. Yet.

What's the price range you are looking at? Also what kind of range are you looking for?

The camera they use on the Inspire1 is DJI proprietary and not as good (image quality) as the GoPro4 - IMHO. However, the Inspire1 can auto-fly without GPS.

I'll sell you a DJI Phantom 2 with everything you could possibly need to do what you are talking about. Its the setup we used to get all the aerial photos and videos for LSU football this season.

Inspire Crash During Auto Takeoff

Definitely DJI if you want pre-built. However, any commercial use requires FAA review.

Also, Colorado will be looking at banning these (Australia as well) and I would expect the movement to continue. Get 'em while you can.

Why not use Zillow or RedFin GIS modeling? Take the pics then auto format them to your specifications.

Drones would give a whole new meaning to "cruising timber". Sounds like a win to me. That drone can get to places faster and safer than humans can, you can view and do your work from the side of the road. Not a bad idea at all.

That's what I'm thinking. Talked to a realtor I've done some business with who has a DJI Phantom Vision + that is going to let me test drive.

Appreciate the input fellas.
