Pretty cool, has voice search. Gives detail on shows. Huge upgrade from old interface. Also has a few apps, weather, traffic etc.

Below is a demo.

If you have not cut the cord and use cox this is a nice upgrade at no additional cost to swap out the box.

They told me that they would charge me an installation fee for this. Is that what y'all paid?

I paid $25 for installation, they split it in half.

All he did was hook the damn box up though and get the remote working. They told me they had to have someone come out to do the installation and that's bullshite.

Still glad I got the box, very Amazon TV 'ish interface with voice search.

How much extra does it cost per month? I'm trying to figure out whether how far to upgrade my parents from their minibox.

That was the first thing I asked. No billing changes, so no extra cost.

Couple observations about the remote. It lights up when you move it like the Xbox one remote and it's not infrared so you don't have to point it at the box. Like the weather and traffic app too.

The voice search works well and pulls up any content across all available channels. Gives detail of the show too, similar to the Xbox one tv menu.

Also if you pull up the guide and see something coming up later on you can hit it and it gives you the option to view it and goes and grabs the on demand video.

Am I the only one who can't stand how painstakingly slow changings/scanning channels can be? Sometimes I think they're transferring data using AOL dial up.

NO, those live on the hard drive on the box not in the cloud.

I've had mine for a while now, and it has been overall pretty awesome. There is one issue, and I would love to see if others are having it. Someone try watching something on demand like a cbs show or something. When I try to watch on demand stuff I have no sound. I don't know if it is because I had one of the early boxes in this area, but it's super frustrating. Let me know if it's just my box. Also I didn't pay and install fee, so maybe press them on that if you're thinking about getting on.
