Convert surround speakers to wireless

Just pulled carpet, now have plank floors. I had my surround speaker wires running under carpet. It would be logistically difficult to pull wires through walls.
Is there an option to make the speakers wireless and maintain fidelity?

Something like this should do it. I'm sure there are less expensive alternatives, but SVS makes amazing stuff.

For subs, yes. For speakers, not really.
Have you tried putting a nice quarter-round down at the bottom of your baseboard? They make quarter-round with cavities to hide wires and they work well and look nice if you take the time to match baseboard color.

If you still have baseboard to install then problem solved. You just need to make sure you aren't crossing any threshholds or door openings. I've tuck many a speaker wire under baseboard.

i tried making my wired rear speakers wireless. was unsuccessful.

Years ago, I purchased a wireless speaker system from a company called Soundcast that enabled me to use my existing Def Tech satellite speakers. It has a transmitter that connects to the television, and receivers that connect to each of the speakers. Works flawlessly!

Those are powered speakers. The OP asked about keeping the speakers currently in use and making them wireless.

Added to my previous post: Soundcast product is no longer made, but a few are available on eBay. Product is Surroundcast SCS100.

All HT speakers are powered and need to be plugged in (assume we're not talking about a random rechargeable bluetooth speaker like everyone has).So I think we're confusing wired speakers for power vs. wired for sound.
If he wants to make them wireless for sound, he could use something like this:

His point was that they still have to be plugged into AC power so the OP would have to make sure outlets are available and they don't creat a hideous eyesore with the power cable.

No. The vast majority of home theater speakers are not powered. Powered means the speaker comes with a built in amplifier. The vast majority of HT speakers out there are called "passive" because they do not have built in amplifiers. You need to connect them with speaker wire to an amp. Typically the amp is going to be part of the AVR or audio/video receiver that allows you to decode audio from different sources and turn it into analog signal that is then amplified to provide both power and sound to speakers via the speaker wire.
Most powered speakers are for convenience and will not provide the best levels of sound quality.

Most. Higher end powered speakers are outstanding and the price delta has come down.

wasn't sure, hence the post..anywho think I will run wires under baseboards, they are tall enough where I should be able to get them into the wall behind baseboard up to the mount location.
