from old iMac to a new one? Will that work?

I just don’t feel like having to go to Best Buy to get a new cable or storage device.

Any advice appeciated.

I haven’t had a Mac in 20 years but I’m guessing they have rsync.

Use Time Machine, your new Mac will mirror the old. Everything will be the same and transferred.

Agree with this if you do decided to go the Airdrop route. 6000 at once will potentially freeze up your computer.

Maybe it's just me, but this seems like it would be easier (and more reliable) than every other option presented so far....

I'm sure you're right, it's just a pain in the arse to go out and get it.

Or you could pay for $4.99 for delivery? Does UPS not know where you live? Or are you too close to Memphis where they just refuse to dodge gunfire to get to you?
