Cabin in the woods has no internet (yet) and no OTA TV reception.
What's the simplest way to play an occasional program on a small TV there - say, to entertain kids?
Maybe download Netflix shows to a Windows notebook while at home, then connect the PC to the cabin TV by HDMI?
Not looking for anything fancy since we're mostly looking to escape that noise while there.

This is probably the most straightforward solution. Some phones are also capable of HDMI output.

Isn't the cabin in the woods supposed to be to escape the kids (and maybe the wi.....)?
(I actually thought I was on the TV/Movie Board when I opened the thread)

Get an old DVD player and keep a stack of movies there. Kids don't need that type access when your out in the woods!!

I like this solution the best, to be honest. Low tech, cheap, and effective. Plus it could give the kids nostalgic memories of swapping out disks, watching the same movies over and over, etc.

Will forever have crocodile Dundee & the apple dumpling gang burned into my brain, because those were the only two vhs flicks my grandparents had at their place.
