Last year prices were better for Black Friday, at least for the models I’ve been following.

Let's go, Brandon!
Of course prices are up this year on TVs when inflation is hitting us this hard

I meant compared to super bowl prices earlier this year.

Well, they were still good enough for me this year.
Just pulled the trigger on the 65" Samsung NEO QLED QN90A for $1700 and in normal times, that's a $2300 TV.
It gives the LG OLED C1 a big run for its money and the NEO is the best LED PS5 TV there is and has a great mixed use rating.
I decided against the LG OLED because of the burn in risk and how they may not age well in the long run. Wanted a more future proof purchase here.
Genuinely excited to see what this TV is capable of.

Yeah I've read reviews, just dont see anything that puts it above a CX or a C1. Unless you just don't want to fool with an OLED.

I wish the mini LED monitors weren't so stupid expensive. Pay more than more TVs for a 27-32" loaded monitor.

Never claimed that. OLED is definitely the superior quality for picture but it still brings risk of burn in and until they come up with a fix for that, I'm shying away from it.
But I'll also say that mini and micro led is the future and this year is the TV industry's first foray into it.

Correct.
Neo QLED gets as close as possible to OLED quality while having far less risk.

I know, but you said best PS5 tv which is why I asked. As a PS5 owner, I just wondered what it did for the console that set it apart

fwiw, with modern OLEDs you really have to be completely egregious and retarded to get burn-in. love mine

LED, not OLED.

I can see that but didn't want to assume the risk and decided to go a safer route.
And the risk is higher when you have a family and they leave the TV on random crap all day.
The NEO is still going to be a kick arse TV for me.
