Got a new 75” Samsung Crystal UHD for the living room to take the place of a 7-8 year old Samsung 60” 3D TV. Wall mounted in exact same spot but the new TV has terrible glare reflecting far worse than I ever had with the old TV. Shows/movies with scenes in a dark setting are almost unwatchable in daytime or with the living room or kitchen lights on. Tried tilting the angle of the mount down a little but didn’t help. Any suggestions?

You can try brighter picture settings for the daytime, but if that doesn’t work you are kind of out of luck....unless you move the tv to a part of the room that has fewer reflections.

Well shite. Moving it isn’t an option and brightness is high already. Why would an older Samsung not have this issue but a new one is so much more reflective?

To be blunt, those are garbage lowest end of the low TV's.

Just what you're gonna get with those. Brightness so low it can't handle being in a bright room of any kind.

Return it, save up for a TCL R635. Really your only option if you want to "fix" it.

Try putting some window tint over it

Samsung makes great TV’s. But they are not even trying to compete on the low end anymore. They’re focused on their higher end models. I agree that if looking for a more budget friendly model, definitely look at TCL, Hisense, and Vizio.

ETA: Visit Rtings.com and read through reviews. They give solid breakdowns on the strengths and weaknesses of lots of electronics.

shite, wish I’d known this a few weeks ago before I bought. Always thought Samsung was pretty solid quality across the board and never been disappointed with any Samsung products I’d bought until now
