Thinking of switching from AT&T to T-mobile. Anyone have good or bad experiences with them? How’s the coverage? TIA

I switched form At&t to T-mobile and was happy with the switch.
Recently though, I ported my personal number to work (so I wouldn't have to carry two phones) and had to switch to Verizon and Verizon is dog shite.

I was looking to make the jump last week from ATT...after doing research and comparisons, I made a leap of faith and decided to go with Sprint with the assumption that the merger with T-Mobile will go through and all antennas will be shared within 6 months. Sprint offered better deals all around.
We'll see.
We'll see.

So....it won't be so simple. Sprint has a way of making sure there is compatibility issues. It will be a while before t-mobile towers and sprint towers will be interchangeable.

Good luck with your bill. Sprint consistently over billing our family years ago is what drove us away. I still remember once a month one of my parents sitting on a phone for hours fighting an $800 bill for 5 lines.
I hear from a few others that they haven't improved much lately.

Sprint is dogshit
They have so many loopholes in their cheap plans. It’s good for basic usage but the video is 480
It’s the wal mart of cell service

I've been sticking with Sprint waiting to see if things would get better with the merger. Now I'm not even sure that's gonna happen anymore.

I just started their service yesterday, so far so good...get good service at home(not that I need it with wifi) and it seems I get better service at work than I did with ATT. *knock on wood
We'll see.

I pay 10 bucks more and get the HD streaming...not sure how there are loopholes when everything is unlimited, the only thing I could see being affected is throttling of speeds, not sure how they can charge you more.

If you are in a big city tmobile is fine.
If you travel the outskirts alot, tmobile will probably not be what you want.
Good thing is you can try it and then drop it of you dont want.
I switched to tmobile and if needed my phone more id probably switch back. In our office I dont really get data, bit texts and phone calls are fine. This actually helps me because I quit playing around and just do work.

I've had Tmobile for several years. Pretty happy with them, especially with the international data and texting options.
Switched to Cricket for a year, but the service was awful (including having your data throttled or even not function when you were around a large number of AT&T users because your network access was deprioritized).
I'd say that from a customer service perspective, T-mobile and Winn Dixie have been two of the better companies I've dealt with in recent years.

I was an AT&T wireless customer for 14 years. Last year I finally had enough, I was paying $160-180 a month for my wife and I on unlimited (which wasn't unlimited at all). Im military and move frequently so avoiding overages is a big deal, and with AT&T I would get smacked with data charges frequently that were ridiculous. I was constantly getting hit with new charges on my bill that AT&T would sneak in forcing me to call and they would give me a "bill credit"...rinse and repeat every other month. I was sick of it.
Called TMobile and switched to the TMobile One Military Plan. My wife and I both run iPhones, unlimited everything - $80 a month, period. And yes, after 1 year now I mean period. I have only called TMobile once or twice (when we were switching over) and I talked to a real, live American every time that was happy to help me and I was done in 5-10 minutes. I could not be happier. I will say the coverage isn't as good as AT&T, especially in north louisiana. But if you are in a city you will have service. I would happily trade loss of signal occasionally for $100 a month and not dealing with the raging assholes that are AT&T.
