I have an asus router (ac1900) connected to an arris surfboard modem (sb8200)
I have this same setup and have been having issues the last few days as well. It’s been great up until now.

Not sure if you’ve read through all of the posts, but it appears it’s been a common issue for a number of people with asus routers. What fixed it for me, so far, was updating the firmware from the asus router interface. So give that a go, and hopefully it works for you too.
youtube link showing how to update firmware, both automatically & manually, In case you aren’t sure how to go about it.

Same with mine. Contact ISP no issues on their end. Sent out tech and installed supplied router at no charge.
Asus has lost my business for life. This is 2 router and a seperate Modem that have failed in 3 years. I am done.
