Was just on hold for an hour and forty minutes to try and sort out this Apple Upgrade Program situation.
Phone finally starts ringing for the correct department and they drop my call before I can talk to someone. Unfrickingreal Apple.

Just got off the phone with them over at Apple. Was on hold nearly all afternoon.
Talked to someone who got my preference of phone and stores. They sent me over my contact information and that I will be contacted within 48 hours with an update of when I will be able to get my phone.
I just saw on MacRumors that people are starting to get called already that their preferred phone will be at the store on Friday. Interesting.

I haven't been following this issue with the upgrade plans. Are they not able to have their phones shipped to them and ship them old ones back? Is that delay causing them to pay an extra note on the old phone before the new plan activates?

There were few to no phones available in the separate ordering system we had to use. We could not and still can't place an order.
We're supposed to be able to upgrade after 12 months.
If we can't upgrade at 12 months, well will have to make extra payments on the current phone and extra payments on the next phone (or upgrade late).

Nothing in the contract would have lead us to believe we'd have to do the upgrade in store, in fact the language in the contract indicates we'd have 14 days to send in the old phone after receiving the new one. The contract was clearly written with the idea that the upgrade would, or at least could, be done by mail.

Wish I saw this thread yesterday, got in line at lunch. Have a ton of stores in Atlanta and don't mind driving, hope they can find me one for Friday.

7+ in 32gb Black at Lakeside Metairie.
I was a few hours late to when more inventory opened up so I missed on the 128gb. Which may be a blessing in disguise, because I am not really sure if I need that much data as I'm only using about 30gb of my 64gb 6s.

black, they aren't making jet black available to upgrade people. The stock is the stock for it. I don't want it anyway. Like matte better.
