Anyone try YouTube TV?

Anyone tried this yet? It's not available in my area (DFW) but my company VPN goes to the NYC area, so YouTube thinks I'm there. Thinking about trying it just to see it.

really sports heavy. i believe your allowed to stream over 2 devices at the same time. good if you have a family. im really liking direct tv now at 35.99 a month with a well balanced tv lineup.

I really like the app. It just doesn't have enough channels for me.

So I've tried:
-Hulu Live TV
-YouTube TV
-DirecTV Now
-Sling TV
-PSVue
To me, if you use your phone and have an AppleTV or Xbox One YouTube TV is the best or tied for the best service with maybe Hulu Live TV.
There's definitely pros and cons to all of them but I've found that more than anything it's personal preference based on App Interface and how you and your family use it.
I need to get to Sports and Family/Kids shows QUICKLY especially when my kids are in full rage mode. YouTube TV wins hands down to me in this front.
But if you absolutely HATE commercials and want a more traditional DVR type experience, my suggestion is Hulu Live TV.

Oh and one other thing, if getting the latest sports as fast as possible is a big thing to you, YouTube TV also wins in this department.
It's maybe 10 seconds behind a true OTA antenna in terms of being behind on a play, etc. Whereas all the others including Hulu Live TV are a full 30-45 seconds behind. It's annoying to see the "Gamecast" on ESPN.com get the play in quicker than the TV.

Perhaps it was some user error, but I found switching channels on YouTubeTV very clunky and frustrating. I was using it on an Android phone, casting it to a Google Chromecast, and when I'd hit the screen to change to a different channel, I'd get no response.
Worked beautifully when I used it at work on my laptop sending the stream to my second monitor.

So there's the one difference for me. I use the YouTube TV on my Apple TV in my bedroom and then in my main living room, YouTube TV has a native app on the Samsung Q7 TV I use in that room.
So I don't do chromecast at all in my setups. I've heard that the original chromecast has a ton of issues with this setup and sometimes the 2nd gen model also has issues.

It did pop up a message on our 1st gen Chromecast, but I forget what it would say. Something about picture quality I think, but I never noticed the picture quality being bad. Worked fine on our newer Chromecast. I'm guessing it's just a problem with the Android app.
Never tried it on our AppleTV.

I like the AppleTV app. However, it just came out last week and I've already experienced one bug.
First time the app loads is fine, however, if you go back to your main Apple Home Screen and then back to the YouTube TV app it gets in a "stuck" state and you can't move around within the menu.
That's a pretty big one that should get fixed soon. It's a week old app on the AppleTV so I'll cut it some slack but I don't know how their testers didn't find that almost instantly.

I'm using a Fire TV and I'd switch to this from Vue if Amazon and Google would end their stupid staring contest.
