Light Phone
The concept is appealing, but I'd be interested to talk to people who have actually used it.
$350 is pretty steep for a phone that only makes calls and SMS...

I don't get it. What's the appeal?

They can be had much cheaper. That price was originally for a kick starter to ween people off being a dick by checking their phone instead of interacting like a human in social settings.

So basically all the functionality on my current phone I don't want

It’s for phone/social media addicts.

Why get this instead of just getting a feature phone and a call/text plan from a MVNO for a lot less than they want?
Or, check out Sailfish if you're worried about big tech.

I can see the appeal of a paperwhite display on a tablet if you're going to do a lot of reading on it, but I have no idea how these guys managed to even launch a company.
It sounds like hipster douchebaggery to me.

I know one person who has it and it connects to his Pixel in some way. When he goes to family events or does things outdoors he can bring this to keep him from being distracted with a smart phone.
This isn't really for a "call/text" only plan. It is for someone with a smartphone who uses it everyday and occasionally brings this light phone instead to reduce the distractions
