The Xr is just too big. The Xs is bigger than I want.

My son’s Xr comes in Friday, I wonder how the weight will be. The steel frame in the Xs is heavy...but it’s solid.

The aluminum in the XR is lighter than the stainless steel on the Xs but the device as a whole is a little thicker thanks to the bigger battery and lcd screen. They are probably about the same weight.

am i the only one that would love to swap out the wireless charging capability in order to get thinner, lighter and less damage prone phones?

the glass backing is a burden.

Lighter, thinner, smaller...these things should be a few stacked credits cards in size by now.

I seriously considered one but, being an old fart at 52, had a hard time with the lack of a home button.

I bought an 8+ 256 instead.
The max has 512gb but it’s buttonless and $1500. Not spending that much on a cellular phone/tricorder. An iPad Pro with 13” screen and 512 is cheaper.

Well got my 10XR in yesterday. So far I love it. Can’t tell any difference on the screen compared to my 8+. Good phone for $750

Played with it in the store.

As someone that feels the xs max is too big, I gotta say the Xr is the absolute perfect size.

The major drawback (for me) is the screen. The bezels are thicker than the xs and the lcd display is inferior to the higher ppi OLED xs screens. I’m a phone enthusiast, however, and the screen will satisfy 98% of the general population.

IMO, the perfect iPhone would be a 6.1 inch xs.

I agree. Xs seemed too small and Xs Max was way too big.

Xr is perfect size and I’m definitely part of the 98% who doesn’t care about the screen. Looks good enough for me

I moved away from the original Google Pixel XL. Simply too big of a phone (for me).

I find that my new XS is a great size for me. Plus, the battery life is incredible when compared to the Pixel XL. Factor in the best messaging app that is available today (it is what it is) - along with a simplified user interface and one can easily see why the XS is a good choice for many that are looking for a new phone today.

I got to play with the XR and XS today. The displays are definitely noticeable when comparing them side by side, but it wasn't noticeable otherwise. I think the bigger issue on the display is the bezel looks odd to me.

Ultimately I can't decide which I want. XS is personally too small but the XR is a little wide for me. I'll have to go in and play with them some more.

This might sound odd but when I was playing around with the Xr in the apple store I felt that the bezel was less noticeable on the black model because it blended into the body. It was much more pronounced on the other colors.

I have, and love, the Xs, but I’m strongly considering getting a Xr because I think the screen size and body is perfect.
