Sweet looking smart watch for $140. Would you buy it?

Are you on the apple or Android ecosystem? Because a year or two old Samsung Galaxy 5 watch can be had for less than that.

I have an Amazfit T-Rex 2, love it. It's the rugged version of the one you posted, it's like a smart G-Shock. Battery lasts for 2 weeks, does everything my Apple Watch does except make calls.

And you can use that Galaxy 5 for almost 2 days...IFFFFFF you simply use it as a watch to tell time. If you use any decent apps, you're lucky to get a day out of it. But, the cool thing is that is will monitor your sleep patterns. The not cool thing is that then you have to put it on the charger during the day. So, you probably need 2 Galaxy watches.

Or you can roll the dice on something like the Amazefit that will give you a reasonable battery life.

I'm a huge Android fan and big hater of Apple. Apple has the watch figured out. Samsung, in particular, is selling a slightly upgraded base model Casio G-shock.

Can it be used as a stand-alone media device? I have my Apple Watch simply to track my runs and exercises. I have to carry my phone with me when I run

Can the watch you have play music without the phone near it?

No, it doesn't have a speaker. They may have versions that do, check out the lineup.

It’s crazy how good the smart watch knock offs have gotten

I played with a couple at Best Buy that were under $100 and the screens were crystal clear and fast

My Versa 3 is long in the tooth and went out looking for a replacement. The reviews on these things are awesome, so I just ordered an Active 2 Square. Fingers crossed.

I have the Amazfit balance. Bought it because of the price tag and the battery life going over a week easily. I got too many things that need charging all the time - it's nice to not have to worry about the watch charging daily. And nice to go on a quick trip with it and not have to pack one more proprietary charger with me.

I'm sure it's lacking on some of the bells and whistles that other brands have, but it does everything I want. Tells time, looks nice, counts steps, tracks sleep, gives me notifications from my phone, etc.

Only one full day in with mine and after going through some learning re: notifications, I can confidently say I like this thing a lot better than my Versa 3.

I was literally gonna post the same thing on the health board. I’m glad somebody bumped this. I am a week into having my Balance 2 and I am loving it so far. Now I have no prior experience with any fitness watch at all so this is all new to me. I really didn’t think I would use the pre-program workout deals in the watch, but I do which is cool. The one thing I will say that looks off is my step counter. It seems to have a good bit of a difference from my apple health on my phone.
