Any Bose earbud experts here?

I have a set of Bose Soundsport free that are basically new. I gotten them as a gift and after misplacing them I had found them the other day to realize the right earbud is t powering on. The warrant is expired and the right earbud being the master earbud the left won’t connect. Has anyone else had a similar experience and can help? Am I just SOL? It seems the quality isn’t good because they haven’t even been used. Someone swiped my AirPod pros. Maybe it’s just not meant for me to have quality earbuds while running.

Basic question, but have you ensured that it’s charged?

Yeah I has the solid white light when in the case suggesting fully charged. I changed the case fully as well. I guess I’ll try an update thru a usb to my Mac. It seems like a flat battery though. They are discoverable through the Bose app as long as they are in the case but they won’t connect until removed. Once removed they never connect and then if I close and reopen the Bose app they are no longer discoverable

Bose is pretty good at taking care of their customers. I know it's not in warranty, but have you tried calling them.
I had a set of the comfort earbuds that started to delaminate and they asked me to send them in and replaced them for a reasonable cost.

I have these, and really like them (Bose must have a patent on the earbud design- they always stay in, unlike anything Apple- or the expensive Bose earbuds)...
BUT, you should get in the habit of wiping down the earbuds before you place them back in the charger... and make sure both charging lights are on before you close. I've noticed when I don't wait, it will sometimes not be fully against the charger part.
And make sure when closing, that both buds are charging.
Oh- and before you put them in your ear, press the button on the charging box thing... that wakes them up.
PS- I use them w/ my Apple Watch, so it's a little different than a phone.

Clean the charging contacts on the earbuds with an alcohol wipe. If the gunk has been there a while, you may need to scrape the contact clean carefully with a pocket knife.
I don't know why, but I consistently have this issue with any earbud that spends time in my right ear. I guess sweat drains differently on the right side of my head.
