Yea on my Samsung UHD is got back in 2016, the apps are almost unusable.

It works with the harmony universal remote and comes with an IR blaster. That's the main thing I need, my soundbar uses an IR remote, I'd love to control it with Alexa. I was hoping the Fire Cube would be the solution I wanted, but now I may look at the sideclick universal remote that attaches to the side of the Fire TV remote.

Cube should still be able to control it. It has an IR extender

I just returned mine today. I realized it actually did less than my original fire tv+harmony+echo dot. Traded it in for a second dot. Had it been able to do multi room audio I would have kept it. I don't know why they sandbagged the product. I can't imagine that they couldn't have coded that capability into it.

Yeah, but if it pauses the TV stream every time I talk to Alexa, or every time Alexa thinks I'm talking to her, no thanks.

Yea I complained about that earlier in the thread. Not really sure why it is necessary.
