Looking for a basic Bluetooth audio stereo receiver with 4 speaker inputs where I can individually control the volume for each set of speakers. Would a regular stereo receiver work or do I have to go with a 5.1 surround sound receiver to be able control the volume separately. This is for my camp and I have 4 speakers. 2 on one side of the patio and 2 on the other. I want to be able to turn down one side or the other when needed....

Control the volume of each zone. My patio is divided into a sitting area and a cooking area. I have a pair of speakers over the sitting area and a pair of speakers over the cooking area. I would like to be able to turn down one of the other when most people are in that zone.

Ok somebody with more knowledge might chime in but seems like you have a couple options. You could use a traditional stereo receiver as long as it has an a/b selector. Then you could install volume knobs in each area that you could use to control volume.

Or you could buy a multi zone receiver. I would think this is your best option.

Seems like any dual zone receiver should be able to do that

A dual zone receiver is pretty damn expensive for a camp setup but otherwise it is the most appropriate option.

I bought one of these and piped two speakers through each knob. Cheap and it works. I actually have 3 knobs. One controls the inside volume, one controls the patio volume and the other controls the pavilion volume. Just a single zone receiver pushes it.

Do dual zone receivers play the same source in two areas. Or does it allow you to play two different inputs in two different areas. For some reason I thought that if you wanted to have TV going inside and radio going outside, you could do that, but you couldn't play the radio outside at one volume and inside at another. Don't they all have one knob? I'm somewhat uneducated on receivers.

You may be able to do something like this and add a Bluetooth Adapter to it.
