8mm to Digital transfers?

I have some old 8mm tapes I'd like to convert to digital files. Some are broken so who has used these services and who do you recommend?

I only know of one person to do this, he used LegacyBox to transfer a bunch of 8mm to DVD.
From what I saw they did a nice job of digitizing them, indexing them and such, sent multiple copies of the discs, and returned the films back in protective covers.

Download the app Slidescan. Really cool how you can scan the slide in front of a computer screen (the light source) and it scans it into the app and you can even touch it up. All from your phone. There is a free trial.

Check eBay. There's a guy up in Illinois that does this. He did an amazing job for me giving me hard DVDs, my original tapes back and a flash drive with the video files that I imported into Plex.
I had 50 tapes so it was pretty economical in bulk.

I can't speak more highly of him. I tried off and on for a few years to do it myself and I would use him again in a heartbeat.
