Thought I saw it was like $22m?

I’m curious what the number will end up being. I assume it’s much more reasonable than $20m. Hopefully he kills it over there and gets a permanent transfer. That would be nice. TSS was talking about how Barnsley uses a single striker, a guy who is two inches shorter and 50(!) pounds lighter than Dike. Dike is a fricking unit. It would be awesome to see him develop the technique and resilience that Altidore never had.

~$20m was the initial rumor.

Murphy also confirmed that the club do have an option to buy the player permanently, but said that some social media talk about him having an astronomical buy-out - there have been some references to $20million - is way off the mark.
He said: “I will not go into detail. Some of the numbers bring thrown around are just silly season. There is a buy option and Orlando wanted a recall option in there."

I believe he clarified elsewhere that it is more in line with their recent transfers, which have all been <$5M.

Yeah the initial rumor was outrageous. Even if it is $2-3m that is great business for OCSC, and great for Dike.

I know he’s a little younger than the rest of the current young crop, but is Clark expected to be on their level maybe in the 2026 cycle?
