Former Real Salt Lake forward Yura Movsisyan scored two goals but they were not enough to overcome Swiss club Lausanne, who emerged 3-2 winners in the Europa League.

From what I can tell Yura is lightening it UP in Europa League.

He has 4 goals in Europa League play. If I'm not mistaking.

Movsisyan is eligible to play for either Azerbaijan or Armenia. He has stated that his goal is to play for the United States, but that he will play for Armenia if he is unable to play for the U.S. He is currently in the process of gaining United States citizenship.[3]

If he keeps scoring goals like this, he'll surely have a spot with the Yanks.

Yura Movsisyan

Doesn't strike me as an answer to any burning US questions, but I think he'd be an asset. He always struck me a Seba LeToux type of player.

Michael Parkhurst

Too small to play center back, too slow to play on the outside. Didn't stand out at all against "inferior" competition in the Gold Cup last summer.

From the highlights I've seen of Yura he seems like he's got a higher ceiling than Le Toux.

Just reporting the facts ma'am. I don't see Parkhurst doing much except spot duty for USMNT.

without a doubt. He's on a completely different level as far as skill is concerned.

Yura was young when he left MLS, I think he's 23 now, he was hit or miss in MLS from what I saw but that's a bit predictable at his age. I think he's got a very good chance of being in Brazil in 2014.

I think I read somewhere that Yura is in the process of getting US citizenship. Is that true.

He is eligible for Armenia due to his family, but also Azerbaijan since he was born for Baku.
