The Ownership of the Championship couldn't have scripted a better finish at the start of the season.

- Southampton and Ipswich play their game in hand tomorrow.
- They close against Preston and QPR respectively.
- Middleborough come to The Racecourse to decide 6th place.
- Millwall has to like their chances of finishing on 83 points closing with Oxford United who now knows they'll be relegated.
- Hull get Norwich at home. Win and they jump into the final playoff spot if Wrex and Middles draw or they can also catch the Red Dragons on GD if both teams win.
- Derby are lurking and if they beat Sheffield, Wrexham draw/lose and Hull draw/lose they finish in 6th

Southampton drew with Ipswich yesterday.

Millwall, Ipswich and Middlesborough can all mathematically finish in 2nd and earn automatic promotion.

3 horse race to see who finishes 6th. Wrexham, Hull and Derby with Red Dragons in control of their own destiny. Hull get Norwich @ home.

Tough one today. Still a 7th place finish in the first year of the championship is solid. Build the roster some more and go after it next year.

Sucks, but probably for the best.

Agreed! We all saw so many times this year where they were overmatched and overachieved and outworked the other team to get wins. 7th Place but on Very Solid Ground. This was definitely for the best to continue building in a solid and sustainable way.

But still a bit Heartbreaking.

Definitely but just to think they were one goal away at the end of the season from having a chance to play to go to premier league is a bit heartbreaking. I’m sad the season is over for them.

Helluva season that came down to the last minute. Bring in more reinforcements and go again next season.
