Yeah for the life of me I don’t understand why Hamid is so easily passed over by most on here

Germany won the confederations cup with it's youth backups...

Their youth back ups still included Stindl, a Bundesliga vet and captain for Gladbach.

We also don't have the luxury of putting out a youth team and winning many games in CONCACAF.

We don't really know this because we've been playing with an aging roster in WCQ. We don't have the luxury of winning CONCACAF games with senior leaders either.

No shite, but you don't throw a team full of worse players out there because the guys they couldn't beat out can't get it done. We're still going to need some of the vets to be involved for a while.

Hamid is a beast and was close to making a move overseas but his past few years have been full of injuries. He barley has received any call ups which is why it’s going to take some time .

Agree. The question is, were other, younger players given a serious / hard look or were the vets given preferential treatment?

I don't think there were many younger guys that really deserved a call up. Most of the names that get mentioned are just in their 1st or 2nd year of actual playing time (McKennie, Gonzalez, CCV, Adams, etc.) Acosta was called in a lot, but apparently never impressed enough to get many minutes.

Miazga is probably deserved a shot, but Bruce apparently didn't think much of him during the Gold Cup.

We did try to give some other guys some chances, but they got hurt (Lletget, Saief, Rowe)
