i loved him at liverpool and gave him the benefit of the doubt before. but, he has to go. let him go to spain. i know that will hurt the reds in the league this year, but damn.

the total lack of taking any responsibility kills me. you bit him. the world saw it. you did not fall into him teeth first. i'm going to a game at anfield 12/6 and one of the reasons was to see suarez play. but, now i say let the idiot go and cause barca problems.

I'm assuming SCH will respond to his bat signal and rush to post in this thread. That being considered, I agree with the OP.

(Take note, SCH)

Alexis and 50, coming right up. I'd be over the moon.

It's the hot rumor right now. Coming from both sides of the channel. The debate is about the money, but supposedly Alexis is happening and Suarez has already agreed to terms.

If Tony Barrett says it, it must be true.

I may be lost here.... I understood you to say, Alexis Sánchez PLUS 50M Euros. Absolutely no way.

Given Sánchez´s cartel, and Suárez´s, a straight swap would be Liverpool´s best bet.

Suarez is still valued higher than Alexis, and I love watching Alexis (glad he could leave Barca). I thought Suarez was not a sellable asset (like Bale) unless you get the moon for him, and Alexis + 50€ would certainly qualify.

He´s still in great demand, but his price is very negotiable. He´s Balotelli level now (although of superior achievement).

Basically Dandy gets it.

He's looking at not playing for around 10 club games. His marketability is plummeting now, which drives down a transfer value.

Basically Real or Barça or PSG or whoever have all the power in negotiations now.

It might behoove Liverpool to wait out Suarez's suspension and then sell him in January depending on their title hopes, or next summer.

Barca also face a transfer ban, so that MAY play into if it they really want him...

I agree that it may be in our best interest to wait and I don't think FSG are willing to let him go on the cheap.. I've read that they were going to try and hold on to him at all costs this summer, but now are willing to sell if someone meets his valuation... I would imagine the situation is fluid and things could change for numerous reasons..

Some people, including pool fans, bashed me when I said Suarez isn't the best striker. Playing ability, yes. But he will now miss what? 34 games in a Liverpool shirt not due to injury. I don't care how good a player is, he doesn't help a team when he's not playing.

Suárez is not a classic striker. He needs a system like Ancelotti´s, or to be a false 9.

I know what you're saying, but don't really follow the logic... I still think he's the best striker in the world at the moment.

He has missed a lot of games from being banned, but a somewhat trade off is he has never missed a game due to injury for us...

If your point is you wouldn't want him as striker because he is too volatile and may miss games, than ok, I can understand.

Well, I guess not... But if they bought him, I'm also not sure his ban wouldn't be magically reduced either

Spanish, Catalonian and Italian lawyers make American Jewish lawyers (the supposed and ill denominated gold standard here) look like amateurs.

ETA Ill denominated, as in it´s xenophobic. Favorable, but xenophobic.

You would be right if Liverpool actually wanted to offload him. They're not going to drop his value for any reason. The guy missed 10 games last season and we still almost won the league because of him.

If they try to negotiate the price Ayre will close up shop. Psychopath or not, there isn't a player in the world outside of the top two that fits Rodger's system better.
