Played from about 5 to 12, with the last couple years in select. Then, had to choose between soccer, and a combo of basketball/baseball. Went with the latter, eventually played two years of college basketball and fell out of touch with the game. When I "retired," I joined a co-ed team in BRSA 3 years ago and since then have played soccer in every competitive league and level possible. I also started listening to World Football Daily at that time and have become addicted to every facet of the sport. I know hope to get a career in it, and should be interviewing for an interesting soccer-related job in youth development soon.

What age group. When I started coaching it was an under 10 team. Coached them until they were u18. It was pretty fun watching them grow into a pretty successful team. It was rec so it sucked having to play the shitty kids when you had 14 guys that could play any position on the field.

played pretty much since birth. I have been in indoor leagues, played for my school all the way through high school, also during high school I played for the farm system of Motagua (a team back home)... played in LSU intramurals.

Shoot...at one time in high school, I think I was playing in 4 teams at the same time...but that's how it is if you grow up in a soccer crazed latin country. Those were the days man!

Now the wife has the balls in her purse and I get one pickup game a week
The good thing is its on Wednesdays

played a season when I was 10 or so, maybe younger

then played from 10th grade on, since graduating in 06 I have played in at least one BRSA league (either co-ed or men's) each year

I will say that it probably helps with knowing why someone did or did not make/attempt that pass, why he didn't see his teammate wide open, we can see it on tv, but on the field it is a lot different

that said, I still yell at the various players because they should make that pass, I shouldn't because I am not that good...at all

Same but I continued and played club at LSU, have been playing in the Islano league since I was 16 (in my 9th year now), as well as about every league between New Orleans and Baton Rouge over the last 7 years. I was playing for 3 teams earlier this year but it gets tough so I try to stick to 2 at the most.

really didn't play as a kid

some friends were on the team in high school, and convinced me to start playing my sophomore year. had no idea about the rules or how the game was played. basically just a football player out there playing at right fullback.

but i learned quick, and started for 3 years. fell in love with it during that time.

i play in occasional indoor leagues when we can get enough people to play. still can't dribble for shite, and have no left foot

Nope. It was VERY new in the late 70's. A playground team, Jeff. Parish, set up in our school field, and a number of friends played. We were in 6th grade. Went out to practice, parents wouldn't let me play. My Daddy went to his grave, and my Mom STILL insists that she doesn't remember it, and would have NEVER told me no.

They told me no.
HS didn't have it, either.

played premier/select. haven't really played too often since.

certainly not necessary. shite, i've probably learned more about the game in the past few years than i ever did playing. i was an a-hole of a teenager and didn't do a lot of listening.

Age of seven to 19. Played four years of varsity in high school and my freshman year in college. Partied too much to care and dominated intramurals for my fraternity.

Played club until HS then quit because of school system didn't have soccer at the time. I reffed for a few years after that. Giving a red card to the governor's daughter was the highlight of my reffing career.
