hopefully Adu

I've been a big Adu pusher, but I don't know. Latest news is the Greek team is sending him back to Benefica, and he's not going to be on their first team. He may have to go back to MLS. We'll see if he's matured enough to accept that.
He can still do things nobody else for us can do. I just don't know if he can overcome his physical limitations.

I'm really hoping some of these U-20 strikers we have now turn into big-time NT contributors.

Maybe not consistent starter minutes at mid/top tier clubs, but he is physical enough to play in the EPL, no doubt.

I like DeMerit, but he's 30. His only significant club experience is with mid-table, Championship team Watford(save for one year in the EPL) and he's a centerback on a very shaky American defensive side. He did a good job on Rooney (whose having a crap tournament), and he played well in the C.C. last year, but I would be very surprised if he's playing significant minutes in the EPL next year. I see him with another Championship side (Leeds is reportedly interested), or playing in the MLS.

I think I read his only prior experience with the MNT came in like 03.

All i was saying is he'll be at the Galaxy and so will Lando.

Unless every single club owner in the world is mentally retarded, Donovan will be getting 8 digit transfer offers that the MLS has probably never seen before.

cahill was red carded 55 minutes in, not 30.

and australia's goalie made a fricking miserable play today that cost them a goal fwiw. not disputing anything with that comment, but it was poor goalkeeping.

Donovan could be a good fit with bayern but as much as i hate to say it, hes not as big of a playmaker as ribery.

I still contend that Donovan to Chelsea is legitimately possible.

Chelsea wants to capture as much of the US market as possible, they have the cash to pay whatever MLS is asking, and with the departure of J. Cole, they have an opening for an outside midfielder.

Sorry, but no way Donovan goes to Chelsea or Arsenal, and I say this as an Arsenal fan who would love to see him at the Emirates. All this Arsenal-USA hubbub came from that Fox Soccer writer, speaking without any real information. It would be nice, but Bradley needs constant playing time imo, and I would rather him continue developing instead of coming and sitting on the bench 50% of the time for the Gunners. Where would Donovan play for Arsenal? We've been heavily linked with Joe Cole, who if healthy I would say is better than Donovan. Arshavin and RvP are always going to start in our front 3 when healthy and Chamakh will be getting a ton of PT too. Donovan is too far along in his career to be a sub.

Chelsea won't buy Donovan because they only buy players worth 20 mil or more...
