I'm a city fan and I don't see the point in this.

I doubt it will happen, but I think it could work. He's at least as good as SWP and Bellamy. AJ on the left, Silva in the middle, and Landon on the right...
That clip from France is actually of LSU Law students in a bar in Lyon. Here's the original link LINK

Maybe not consistent starter minutes at mid/top tier clubs, but he is physical enough to play in the EPL, no doubt.

I like DeMerit, but he's 30. His only significant club experience is with mid-table, Championship team Watford(save for one year in the EPL) and he's a centerback on a very shaky American defensive side. He did a good job on Rooney (whose having a crap tournament), and he played well in the C.C. last year, but I would be very surprised if he's playing significant minutes in the EPL next year. I see him with another Championship side (Leeds is reportedly interested), or playing in the MLS.
Diego Forlan is an ugly SOB
Bradley, Donovan for sure. You can see Jozy's contributions if you watch the whole game, but he needs to knock one in to get noticed. DeMerit is not EPL-caliber, but I could see him coming to the MLS. Gooch is playing for AC for free next year.

Ghana...I want revenge. I doubt they'll make it through though. They've played against two teams playing with 10 men and both there goals have been on PK's.

Not soccer themed, but this song always gets me feeling all patriotic.

Marvin Gaye National Anthem

Dempsey doesn't look comfortable at all up top. I'd like to see him move back to mid and see what Buddle/Gomez can do in the second half.

The 2011 Gold Cup will determine who goes to the Confederations Cup

I stand corrected. Still doesn't change my view of it though. It's cool that all the champs get together and play a tourney, but in the end it's still just a warm-up for the big game.

Then why did teams show up with full strength squads?

Okay, it is a pretty good tune up for the WC. But then again the US obviously doesn't think to highly of it since we rolled up to the Gold Cup final with a Confed Cup berth on the line with our C squad.

I hate Rossi as much as the next guy. It's especially depressing when you think about our current striker situation. :banghead:

Talking shite about advancing in the Confed Cup (which no one really gives a crap about), when Italy and Rossi crushed us head to head just seems a little ridiculous.

Why not he is the Judas.....not me!!!

Yes, we advanced by a miracle and Italy didn't, but the dude killed us when we played him. He scored the equalizer and put the nail in the coffin.

So why was he at home watching the US advance in the Confederations Cup?

I see your point there, but I don't think we should bring up the Confederation's Cup and Rossi...

John Terry Injured

Terry had to go the hospital after suffering a right foot injury in training...

Couldn't have happened to a better player. The English are dropping like flies :usa:

Lionel Messi, Gonzalo Higuaín, Martín Palermo, Sergio Agüero, Diego Milito, Carlos Tevez y Ezequiel Lavezzi

that's sick

EDIT: it was supposed to bold milito too
Its the same back line that helped us clinch last Sept-Oct...who would you rather? Cherundolo?
My starting 11 predictions...

GK: Howard

D: Spector, Onyewu, Bocanegra, Bornstein

M: Donovan, Bradley, Edu, Holden

F: Altidore, Dempsey

first off the bench: Torres, Clark, Cherundolo, Buddle, DeMerit

It's not Spain or Brazil, but this is a pretty decent starting 11 with some solid guys coming off the bench. I don't see why people are freaking about guys making camp that probably wont even make the trip... :dunno:
It should, but it probably won't. There'll be the same old alley-oops, buzzer beater, or outfield catch and Lindpere will be somewhere around 8 or 9
