They have it at 49. No fricking way some of those in front of the MLS should be IMO.
I say around 30

1. Bundesliga
2A. EPL
2B. MLS
But seriously, there's no way we're that far behind Mexico.

I feel pretty confident that most MLS teams got beat the Azerbajaini champs.

I don't know. Higher, of course.
IFFHS just uses their fancy name and "mathematics" to troll for attention.

This. It's really just bullshite. We're below the Cypriot league? Come the frick on. I'm not even going to mention all the other teams that don't deserve to be ahead of us because it would take too long.
Countries that I know have a better league than we do (in no particular order):
Spain
Germany
England
France
Portugal
Italy
Belgium
Russia
The Netherlands
Brazil
Argentina
Mexico
Turkey
Not sure where I would put the Swiss league or the J-League (which is definitely stronger than the K-League and probably pretty close to MLS), and I really can't comment on the average strength of the teams in the Czech league, Colombia, Chile, etc.
I love that Moldova and Costa Rica are ahead of us

Ranking the MLS highlights the problem of really ranking any of the leagues at all. The only clubs that ever play non-friendly inter league matches are the top ones in the CL so depth is mostly, if not completely, effaced.
Almost all league rankings mean whose 2 or 3 best sides are better and nothing more.
This is obviously where the MLS needs special consideration since the league is so balanced. Most of the smaller European leagues have 1 or 2 "superclubs" that I think are better than the best MLS sides but doubt they would win a complete 1-18 table match-up, for example.
However, it's also a problem even ranking only the European leagues since, for example, Benfica or Porto or Shakhtar Donetsk doing better or not in the CL doesn't really make the other 16 or so sides of the Portuguese/Ukranian leagues any different whatsoever.

I think the MLS is roughly the equivalent of the Championship. The better MLS teams...the SKC, Galaxy, RSL, Dynamo, Red Bulls...are on par with the better Championship teams...the Leicester, QPR, Burnley, Derby County. And the MLS bottom feeders...the DC United, Chivas, etc...are around the level of the Championship trolls...the Barnsley, Millwall, etc.

yea this has to be a joke
The league is still behind the 2nd division's in like germany, england and spain as well but no way in frick MLS is worse than the Serbian league, Czech and Romanian.

Id say mid level championship to to top level league one. Saying MLS teams are the same as top level championship teams is basically saying MLS is on par with low end EPL teams who always cycle in and out with promotion/relegation.

Dynamo beat stoke
Stoke beat ManU
Ergo, Dynamo should have 20 EPL titles.
Am I doing this right?

The lesser teams in the European leagues play each other in the Europa League and the Concacaf CL matches teams from the US, Canada, Mexico, Caribbean, Costa Rica, Honduras, El Sal, Guatemala, Panama, Nicaragua, and Belize.
I'm sure there are more tournaments with non-friendly international competition.

There are a few different ways you can go about ranking leagues. Stadiums, TV Contracts, Fan Experience, all of which far exceed the level of play. In that regard, I'd probably say somewhere around 15.
However, in terms of international competitiveness, it's probably more like 25 to 30.

You forgot the all-important MLS all-stars > Champions of Europe.

I would say 15-20, probably.
Kei Kamara going to the Championship and being one of the best players for Middlesbrough, shows it's a pretty lateral move, in some cases.
