FA Cup is a competition between teams in the English FA.
Champions League is contested between teams from all over Europe.

Each country has league competitions and cup competitions. Then, UEFA puts on 2 continent-wide competitions (Europa and Champions Leagues) based on teams' results from the prior seasons.

So I'm not sure what you are referring to as the La Liga "final".

The FA Cup in the domestic cup tourney for England. They have a similar one in Spain...the Copa Del Rey. These English boys will tell you the FA Cup is more prestigious....they are probably right from a worldwide perspective I'll give them that.

The Copa Del Rey was yes

La Liga is just the regular season and a separate competition.

The domestic cups are open knock out competitions are the clubs from all the levels to play in

Europe competitions take the top clubs from each country who qualify either from the regular season league or from winning the domestic cup.

Think of these as if there was a college tournament where DIII, DII and DI schools all played each other in a knockout format.

FA Cup is a domestic cup competition in England. It is the more prestigious of the English domestic cup competitions.

The Champion's League is a knockout competition including the champions of the continental federation's domestic leagues, plus a number of clubs that performed well in prestigious leagues.

FA = Football Association (England)
UEFA Champion's League = Europe

I would consider the Champions League Final to basically be the European Superbowl.

It is arguably the biggest single soccer match outside of a World Cup Final.

I would say it is even a better collection of overall talent on two teams than a world cup final.

It's lost the luster, but it is the oldest running tournament in football. If they would give teams a CL bid for winning it, I think some clubs would put better squads out there.
