A 5 man midfield and 4 of them are natural 6's and/or 8's.

We're basically asking Gyasi to create for himself, which is going to be laughably bad.

Is the hope that in the attack, Weah moves up to forward to pair with Zardes, Trapp moves back near the CBs, Acosta shifts to the middle, Moore/Lichaj provides the width?

We score twice in the first half. Frick the negativity.

Hard workers in midfield, Weah in the lineup, and Mexico has a weak squad for this matchup. Intentionally doing us no favors for development.

Double pivot of Acosta and Trapp behind Weah/McKennie/Adams with Zardes interchanging accordingly with Weah/Adams.

ETA: Hopefully*

Not position-wise. Passing-wise.

Probably will be focused wherever Weah is though.

ESPN Stats & Info
@ESPNStatsInfo

With an average of 23 years, 5 days, tonight’s Starting XI is the youngest the USMNT has put out against Mexico in the modern era (1990-present).

There’s some red white and blue sprinkled in. But my view from the middle of the AOs looks overwhelmingly green in the rest of the stadium.
