I would pick Sacha over Zusi, but maybe that's my bias talking. I would assume Sacha is better than Zusi since he stopped playing in the MLS several years ago.

Can someone explain to me why we aren't calling up a replacement for Gatt? At least call up Mix or someone. Hell, let's get Demarcus his cap milestone.

Johnny Gay Specs what the frick is that? When was his last call up '09 confed cup?
Ecuador, last October.
Spector has played RB, LB, CB and CM for both club and country.
He's not spectacular, but if his form is decent, he's as versatile as any player in the pool, which is extremely important when you can only dress 18.
I'm very concerned about foot speed with this group, especially against Mattocks, Cummings, Richards, Watson, etc.
Beasley seems like a real no-brainer.

Old.
Barzagli started the Euro Final at 31. Puyol is 34, and would have started.
John Terry started the semifinal at 31. Rio Ferdinand would have started at 33.
Mathijsen started a World Cup Final (as did Puyol) at 30.
Jay DeMerit is 32. He's not the caliber of those players, but Jamaica ain't Spain, either. You could argue that he's been in better form than any of the other options we have at CB.
We're not naming a roster for three years from now. We're naming a roster for Friday, and I think DeMerit would be a great option to win a game then.

The experts say he was awful against Mexico.
If we're going to keep playing a short, slow "attacking" midfielder who is a defensive liability, let's at least make it Adu and not the incredible disappearing JFT.
I like a backline of Dolo, Cameron, Bocanegra/Goodson/Parkhurst/Edu, Johnson, but I still think we're going to have to score 2 to win. Looking at that roster, I just wonder who is going to create chances.
I wonder if there's any possibility that Fabian Johnson plays left mid with Spector at LB. I wouldn't mind seeing them interchange with Spector's ability to send crosses in to Gomez, Boyd, and Altidore.
Also, I agree with THenry:

The right wing is still a big question
I don't remember Dolo offering a ton going forward since after the World Cup, and if he's paired with Williams, the right side could/will be a complete non-factor. Does Corona play there?

Sheep, I actually agree with you. I was just giving Jurgen's probable reasoning. He doesn't seem to want to pick players who won't have an impact throughout the cycle... I'm hoping Boca and Dolo can hang on a while longer.

He only played, what.... 15 minutes?
And most of it behind the two forwards?
I don't know if I've ever seen him play there before, at any level.

I would kinda have like to see Klejstan get called in. Really sucks about Gatt.

I kinda feel left out of the loop, lately. Living on the west coast fricking sucks for soccer. Every US game = 5PM.

He played the whole 2nd half. I didn't notice him much, but supposedly he was a big defensive liability.

I didn't notice him do anything terrible, but then again he didn't do anything great. His speed could be an asset though.

Doesn't matter, Terrence Boyd

I just really don't understand the lichaj snub, but w/e.
Also looks like chandler is still holding out hope for Germany, heard a chance he would respond to a call up recently

What? I seriously didn't notice him.

It's definitely a mystery why he doesn't get any love from JK. I at least hope the two are in contact with each other and that Klinsy is letting him spend as much time as possible with Villa before calling him up.
