That is a RCB away from being a very serious team.

as of right now I don’t have a lot of confidence in Weah being a consistent fixture in the team going forward, he seems to have the perpetual injury bug.

Steffen
Dest-Long-Brooks-Robinson
Adams
McKennie-Pomykal
Reyna-Altidore-Pulisic

would be the only changes I’d make with an eye towards what things will look like towards to the end of the qualifying cycle. flip the wings however you want, was just easy to cut and paste that way

To be fair, you could say that about Adams, Brooks, Steffen, Altidore and Pulisic.

true. his seems more concerning to me due to his age, and that we haven’t seen him play even close to a full season at a top flight level.

which I know could be leveled against many other players but at least we’ve seen those for extended periods of time in the shirt

eta- I also have PTSD from every young player being the next USMNT jesus

Oh trust me, I feel that.

Which is why Reyna needs to be wrapped in bubble wrap. Tim Weah has that Clint Dempsey "try shite" gene that can be sometimes aggravating but it also sometimes leads to some AMAZING goals and assists.

He can also play the wing or striker. I'm still holding out hope for him.

Both Alexi and Stu have Bradley in Starting XI.

To be fair, that's if they had to put together a squad tomorrow, which I would also have Bradley in there.

Reyna hasn't even been capped yet, ease him into things.

Totally disagree with Stu rolling with Guzan over Steffen though.

is Steffen healthy? I don't think he's played a game in 2020.

Steffen has bad patellar tendinitis from what I’ve heard. Hopefully he has been rehabbing, resting, and PRP/dry needling. Only thing that really helps knock it out.

Stu said in another podcast that he would pick Guzan over Steffen even when healthy.

It was more of an argument for experience than ability.

Brian Sciaretta
@BrianSciaretta

Fortuna Dusseldorf announce that #USMNT goalkeeper Zack Steffen picked up an injury in training. Per the release it was an "inner ligament injury in the knee." Tough six months for Steffen.

So does this likely mean Guzan starts Olympic Qualifying?
