His passing looks markedly improved.

Not normally. Edu fixes a lot.

Here are my thoughts on the game:

A) Turkey is playing very well. They are usually known for taking off friendlies, but they showed up today. In particular Tuncay and Arda. Other than Caglar, this is pretty much the A-team.

b) Kazim has to be the MVP for the US right now. He flat out sucks but every manager thinks he will be awesome because he looks like he has $w@gg@ and can do fancy dribbling moves. Can't pass if someone put a gun to his Cypriot mother's head.

c) US defense looks terrible. I have always favored Cherundolo to Spector. Always. He is not as good on crosses, but he plays solid defense. Ricardo Clark is not doing enough to help, either. I thought defense was his strength to make up for his basic offensive skills. His foul on the yellow card was good though. Nice tactical foul with no chance of a red. I thought it was the right call.

d) Bradley has been very good at harassing the Turkish players and making quick passes. Donovan isn't too dangerous but he is also getting involved. Feilhaber is sucking though. Great pass to Arda.

e) If I am Bob, I sub out Goodsen for Onyewu, Spector for Cherundolo, Clark for Edu, and Torres for Feilhaber.

If Cherundolo and Spector are our two options at right back we might as well not get on the plane tomorrow.

Poor defensive discipline and positioning. Ricardo Clark needs to stay at DM.

Landon is another one that has to be a lot better.

The problem Landon faced was trying to ignite some creative moves all over the field. Feilhaber couldn't start anything and lawd help us if Rico Clark provides our creative spark.

not really anyone other than Davies. This lineup will most likely be our starting XI come the WC.

Only changes would be pure swaps for EDU on for Clark, Holden/Torres for Feilhalber, and maybe Cherundolo for Spector.

The good news is that the only team in the first round that we will play that is anywhere near Turkey's talent level is England (which is better than Turkey). The other two teams aren't close.

I would definitely rather have Holden on the right and Landon on the left than Landon on the right and Benny on the left. Benny is kind of an odd player. I like him at times but he seems like he's good for a horrible mistake a game. Anyway, even if he's not messing up, I think Holden's just better.

right, but the gap in front of the back line has been letting a bunch of small crossing routes, does edu provide better support there. Clark has been a non-factor that last half.

again, haven't watched them much lately, so I wasn't sure if this was the usual level/style of play.

We get six subs. I'd like to see Bob really change things up. He left Ching at home so I have faith that anything is possible.

So we can be sure that Jed was wrong? Spector and Benny shouldn't start? I guess FIFA does its job.

Benny just has that awful tendency to not get involved.

Edu is very good and shows up for big games. The others on here can attest to the fact that that was hard for me to say.

He should. Clark is playing like a retard.
