I'll probably be going to a bar to watch it, but in all honestly...Paperview and a six pack <= the amount of money I'll spend at a bar.

I agree, BUT each person that buys a PPV encourages this kind of behavior in the future.
US Soccer has to do something to curb this, or we'll be paying to watch every road game in the future.
This is the biggest game of the Klinsmann era, and many probably won't see it.
US Soccer needs to partner with ESPN/NBCSN or FSC and set up a PPV company, and make these backwater federations pay big bucks to see their teams back home
or
SUM needs to keep any federation that goes the PPV route for US games from playing friendlies in the US (either with us, or with other nations.) US Soccer has the influence with SUM to make that happen.

I don't think Guate would allow that since they are making money on the game through PPV.

They might not have a choice. It's a concacaf sanctioned event, which means they have first rights with it by default.

It's not a CONCACAF event, it's a FIFA event.

CONCACAF is affiliated with FIFA.
All world cup qualifiers are sanctioned by their confederations.
