More to do with immaturity than skillset. Our players were obviously better than theirs but their players have been trained to be fricking dickbags and ours couldn't handle it apparently.
Freddy Adu fought valiantly in the second half but I doubt he's really captain material. I want Caleb Porter to tell me why Gyau only got 20 seconds.

half the team started running like they were going to counter on that last sequence then everyone just ball watched. It was fricking pathetic.
That Ref and his crew were fricking terrible with all their bullshite calls and no calls. Adu got a yellow card for dipshit falling all over himself, our guy gets punched in the damn face, in the box, and NOTHING was done. frick that entire game and those dirty fricks of el salvador.

I'm pissed. So pissed I'm breaking Lent again.
#14 and #10 for them should have been sent off by halftime for blatant and continuous dives. Boyd should file a suit with INTERPOL on that frick. If that ref was Scottish we'd have been free and fricking clear.
Other notes:
#13 for us might be the worst player I've ever seen play in a competitive US match in ANY competition.
Memo to Caleb Porter: USE SUBS YOU INCOMPETENT a-hole! No excuse for Hamid being in there after the first goal. Why take off Adu when you could take off the absolutely exhausted Shea if the only reason you're going to use subs is to time waste?
If Porter isn't fired by tomorrow morning Gulati should be charged with treason.

Are we the worst country when trying to kill a game? How did Boyd kick the ball when he was in the corner killing the clock? Our back line looked exhausted in the 70th minute.

I have no idea how Caleb Porter left Gyau on the bench for this game. He should have been on from the beginning. How the frick to you avoid any significant squad rotation for this tournament when you have viable options on the bench? How the frick do you leave a substitute on the table when your team is exhausted trying to kill off the game?

I'm just mad at everyone right now. Shea worked his arse off but he was tired and when you get tired, your mind is the first thing to go. Porter needed to get off his fricking arse and do some coaching.
